The Science of Safety

Your nervous system moves through three distinct states. To stop a spiral, you must match the tool to the state. You cannot "calm down" (Brakes) if you are stuck in "freeze" (Gas).

State: Panic & Anxiety

1. The Brakes (Green)

Down-regulating tools to slow your heart rate immediately.
Card 03 Preview: The Voo Sound "Make a low, foghorn sound ('Voooo'). Focus on the vibration in your chest. This stimulates the Vagus Nerve."
State: Freeze & Numbness

2. The Gas Pedal (Clay)

Up-regulating tools to mobilise you when you feel stuck or heavy.
Card 11 Preview: The Shake Out "Shake your hands and feet vigorously for 15 seconds. Imagine shaking off the dust of yesterday. Stop suddenly and feel the tingle."
State: Dissociation

3. The Anchor (Cream)

Grounding tools to pull you out of your head and back into reality.

How to Use

Method 1: The Lock Screen

Find the card that helps you most (e.g. "Box Breathing"). Save it as your phone wallpaper. Now, every time you check your phone, you get a somatic cue to regulate.

Method 2: The Shuffle

Keep the images in a "Rescue" album on your phone. When you feel off, open the album and swipe until you find the tool that your body needs in that moment.
